![]() So all in all do your research, you cannot just bet at random when there isn’t many options that might be good… unless if you just want to waste a lot of time. There are many things to consider in stuff like this…īut yeah long story short… find a big semi local datacenter and rent vps with them and connect through that…ĪWS may work… and it may not… depends on where they are located near you… odds are good AWS is well connected even in your part of the world.īut i can’t say that without digging into where they have servers… on the other hand AWS is supposedly very easy to use, which is one of their major advantages. System Settings -> Applications -> VPN Client New -> OpenVPN Connection Name: PIA VPN Connection Server: (or any other valid PIA server) Port: 1197 Import ca. 4) Click Connect, it may or may not connect, but if it does connect you won’t see any traffic. That in itself may limit your practical ability to really run a storagenode…īut if we assume it’s even possible over the internet from Argentina at a decent level at least, then you will need to connect to a datacenter near you… so you will have to check… who has one of the biggest data centers nearby… then you rent with them and connect through there, and since you rent hosting / VPS with them, then you get access to their infrastructure which might mean even better connections to the rest of the world which only their customers are routed through… meaning you might be able to for fairly reasonable prices, to have your traffic outside the normal Argentinian public internet, and thus reach a competitive level and much better speeds if not near max of what your ISP will provide you… You live in a part of the world with arguably the worst / least connected part of the world. I wouldn’t even be able to tell you that what you want to do might be possible 100% So the problem you run into is that you end up connecting to some datacenter / server somewhere far away which limits your bandwidth because you will share bandwidth with the rest of the country or countries along the route. If i where you i would make sure it’s a supplier that has a datacenter nearby you… the problem is the connection… because Argentina is literally the small toe of the internet… barely connected at all I know it seems counter intuitive… but thats like transporting stuff on trains, its not always the direct route, but they sure will move a lot of stuff in a short time… Here we can see the cables connecting the world… as you can see going from argentina to canada basically takes you around europa to stay on the highest bandwidth lines… so if there is high traffic you will be routed that way… so yeah crossing the atlantic twice and basically going ½ the earths circumference before your data leaves the vpn… and then it starts its journey…įrom looking closely at the map i would say brazil or singapore would most likely be your two best options for high connectivity / bandwidth…īrazil might have best latency… but singapore seems like a good nexus point where tons of lines interconnect and thus it will be able branch out everywhere from there quite easily…īut brazil would be the preferred on imo, but i’ve often used asian to bounce data off with great results… ![]()
